The former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central in the Central Region, Rachel Florence Appoh, dazzled at the 2019 edition of the Ghana Outstanding Women Awards.
The former legislator was adjudged the Best Humanitarian of 2019 at the awards ceremony.
The event took place at the National Theatre on Friday, November 8, 2019.
The second edition of the award under which was held under the theme, ”Impacting Lives Through Giving” witnessed women honoured in 20 categories including Outstanding Woman of the Year, SHERO of the Year, Outstanding Woman Africa, Outstanding Woman DJ, Outstanding in Health among others.
GOWA is an award scheme initiated to honour women who are involved in social change and are contributing their quota to the development of Ghana.

Rachel Florence Appoh served with Nana Oye Lithur as a Deputy Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection under the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama administration.
